The focus of this episode is Sarasota Bay during the golden hour approaching sunset. It was windy and mostly overcast when I was preparing to film, but the clouds finally allowed some of the golden hour light to appear. Some of the highlights of this film include the bridge, Bird Key, Golden Gate Point, and even an appearance by the Marina Jack II headed out on its sunset cruise. In 2024, Sarasota suffered the effects of two hurricanes (Helene and Milton). Hurricane Milton made landfall in Sarasota at Siesta Key. I was born and raised in Sarasota, so I am well acquainted with the beauty of the city and the resilience of its citizens. These films are intended to honor them both. Stay strong, Sarasota!
